Blackberry + Caramel: Geisha Catimor AA/AB : 250g
Grown in the spectacular highlands of northern Malawi, close to the town of Mzuzu, this coffee was expertly processed by Kennedy and his family on their smallholding.

Interestingly, the grading of the coffee gives us different flavour profiles even though the coffee is the same variety and grown on the same farm.
It is most likely attributable to the mix of geisha and catimor making it into each harvest. This is an aspect that the coffee unique each time!
A delicious coffee from Mzuzu, Northern Malawi, that is grown on a smallholding by Kennedy and his family.
This is the second harvest we have enjoyed from Kennedy and we are deligthed to be showcasing his and his family's efforts.
This coffee is hand picked in July/August time and dutifully prepared in the traditional way across Malawi to lock in flavour:
-First the bean is removed from the cherry with a de-pulping machine
-Next the beans are washed to ensure all traces of the cherry have been removed
-Once clean the beans are put to dry on the raised beds
-After drying the beans are taken to a dry-hulling machine for grading (for size) and to remove the final parchment layer around the bean
Every measure is taken to ensure a consistent process is followed to produce this outstanding coffee.
